Allstate Sugar Bowl Mentorship

Kate Samy is the Events Coordinator for the Allstate Sugar Bowl. In June 2017 she will celebrate ten years of working with the Sugar Bowl. Kate is originally from Florida where she received her BS and MSM from the University of Florida. Over the years, she has held positions in event management within the sport industry including leadership as the Ambassador Program Coordinator with the NCAA Final Four. Starting out as an intern at the University of Florida, Kate was able to navigate her way to her current position. In Kate's spare time, she is an active member of the community, holding a committee position with the Junior League. During my time at the Sugar Bowl, I learned to take full advantage of humble beginnings. Everybody has to start somewhere. With the direction of Kate, I have also learned to seek opportunities within the community. It is beneficial to have experience at all levels.
